DR CAROLINE ANDERSON
GENERAL PRACTITIONER
MbChB, FRACGP, PG Cert Medical Education
Dr Caroline is a compassionate GP. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine; with special interests in women’s health and chronic disease management.
Caroline immigrated to Melbourne in 2015 after completing her training in Scotland. She has been working as a general practitioner for over 10 years.
She is experienced in guiding women with their contraceptive choices, Implanon and IUD insertion and removal, cervical screening, family planning, early pregnancy management, period problems and menopause.
She can provide counselling to support decision making with an unanticipated pregnancy; and provide medical termination of pregnancy for those seeking abortion.
Dr Caroline is passionate about managing chronic disease; promoting health, and lifestyle choices. She will engage you in setting mutual therapeutic goals; promoting both physical and emotional health.
Patients with a chronic disease will be offered a GP management plan; and team care arrangement where appropriate. Your ‘care plan’ can be reviewed every 3months and she encourages you to take this opportunity.
Dr Caroline is passionate about medical education and supporting medical students with their training. On Thursdays during term time, she supervises Melbourne University first year medical students. You will always be asked for your consent and are very welcome to decline; but please appreciate students are here to learn and are tomorrow’s doctors!
Outside of work Caroline enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys riding her bike to work and keeping active; preferably outdoors in greenspaces.
