Jackie has been a registered Psychologist since 2010. Jackie has experience working in not-for-profit organisations, community health settings and private practice. Her clinical areas of expertise include managing mood disorders, anxiety and phobias, stress, grief, separation and divorce, adjustment issues, trauma related disorders and parenting strategies.
Jackie has always had a passion for health and wellbeing and in her early career she worked as a personal trainer while studying to be a psychologist. Jackie is a qualified and registered yoga teacher and she has completed a Masters in Therapeutic Arts. Her research focused on supporting people to develop a mind/body connection using yoga and therapeutic arts to assist in improving their overall wellbeing.
Jackie is aware that visiting a psychologist is not always easy and she focuses on creating a warm and relaxed environment for therapy.
Jackie’s approach is to work with the individual as a whole rather than focus on specific conditions or symptoms. This approach focuses on the wellbeing of the individual. She aims to support clients to develop their own personal toolkit of evidence-based skills and adaptive strategies to improve their wellbeing and ability to cope with the ups and downs of life.
