EMMA EVANS

Emma is a registered psychologist who works with adults and young people aged 12 and up. Emma is trained in a range of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).

 

Emma works with clients experiencing a range of issues, including anger, anxiety, bipolar II, body-focussed repetitive behaviours, depression, grief, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, obsessive compulsive disorder and trauma-related disorders.

 

Emma is particularly passionate about EMDR and has experience using this modality to treat trauma, entrenched negative beliefs about self, phobias and more.

 

Emma aims to create a welcoming, safe and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their therapeutic goals and work towards the change they are seeking. In sessions Emma takes a collaborative, person-centred approach, with emphasis on building the therapeutic relationship. She values playfulness, creativity and authenticity in the therapeutic setting. Emma recognises that there is no one size fits all approach to therapy and is flexible and responsive to individual’s specific context, values and needs.
