Dr Katie Gault GP at The Neighbourhood C

*Dr Katie Gault has set off on an adventure where she will be working with Indigenous Australians and offering her vast experience to improve health issues in remote regions. She will be based in Derby in far north Western Australia. She will be sadly missed but we wish her well and look forward to her returning to the Neighbourhood Clinic in late 2021.

Melbourne born, Monash and Melbourne University educated, Katie is an exerciser, a nature lover, a yogi and an artist. She is also a broadly experienced and devoted doctor.

Katie completed her General Practice Fellowship in rural Victoria which had her dealing with a wide variety of different conditions and different people every day.

She worked at the Royal Women's Hospital and completed her Diploma of Obstetrics. This fostered one of her special interests, that of women's health, antenatal care and fertility.

Katie is also skilled in contraception and sexual health and is able to insert implantation devices and IUD’s.

A Diploma of Children's Health also allowed Katie to develop another passion of hers in the treatment and management of infants, children and adolescents.

A keen listener and educator, Katie will take her time to determine what is occurring and help her patient’s understand what is occurring.

Enjoying the flexibility of GP hours, if she is not working she will be prioritising trekking new overseas paths, dancing with friends, cooking 3 course meals, and trying her hand at painting and pottery.

Katie provides General Practice to Fitzroy North, Fitzroy, Carlton North, Carlton, Abbotsford, Clifton Hill, Collingwood, Northcote, Thornbury, Brunswick, Brunswick East, Preston and Fairfield.
