B.A. (Psych) Grad. Dip. (Psych) Assoc. MAPS

Jackie has been a registered Psychologist since 2010. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychology Board of Australia and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Jacqueline is also registered with Medicare Australia. Jackie has completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology.

Jackie has always had a passion for health and wellbeing. In her early career she worked as a personal trainer and is a qualified and registered yoga teacher. Jackie completed Trauma Sensitive Yoga for Mental Health Clinicians in 2015. Jackie has also just completed a Masters in Therapeutic Arts.

Her research focused on teaching people how to tune into their feelings using yoga and therapeutic arts to gain a deeper understanding of self and improve their overall wellbeing.

Jackie has experience working in not-for-profit organisations, community health settings and for the last three years in private practice. Jackie has presented at the International Childhood Trauma Conference on the benefits of yoga for mental health.

Jackie is aware that visiting a psychologist is not always easy so she utilises a therapy dog, Buddy the spoodle, in her sessions to support people. He is a gentle soul who loves attention and pats.

Jackie’s approach in counselling is to support clients to develop their own personal toolkit of evidence-based skills and adaptive strategies to improve their wellbeing and ability to cope with the challenges that can occur for us all in life.
